-Company began as VanDerKloot Associates.
-Produced first industrial film for an ironworks in Augusta.1978
-Produced IT’S A MEAN OLD WORLD - blues documentary on Pearly Brown.
1979
-Produced documentary on public art, IRON HORSE.
-IT’S A MEAN OLD WORLD wins award at London Film Festival.1980
-IRON HORSE airs on PBS, wins award at Chicago Film Festival.
-Produced variety show, STRICTLY USA with Bonnie and Terri Turner.
-Company leased two upstairs offices at 750 Ralph McGill Boulevard.1981
-Produced PORTRAIT OF AMERICA: GEORGIA for TBS, with Hal Holbrook.
-Company incorporated as VanDerKloot Film & Television, Inc.,
-Purchased building at 750 Ralph McGill Boulevard.1982
-PORTRAIT OF AMERICA: GEORGIA wins Peabody Award.

1988
-Created IMAGES OF ATLANTA for the Democratic National Convention.
1989
-Formed Magick Lantern Post-productions to offer editing services.
-Began renovation of 750 and construction of new edit rooms.
-Produced ProCare - world’s largest single interactive video project.
-Built prototype Edit A - first D-2 room in Atlanta.
